just get something better than windows 7 starter and make sure that you have all the drivers you need for your fave games otherwise gaming becomes difficult.
Am struggling to get gothic 3 running yet gothic 1 & 2 worked fine on it, but it ran on my old comp and my old comp was half what this comp is so im thinking a driver problem maybe.
Working on it.
There are always bound to be problems with new technology its how you try to get around those problems that matters

You should be able to get most things to run using the Compatibility mode..Win7 is much more user friendly. I am loving my new laptop.. ;)

Awesome.  I'll be checking post box today to see in Win 7 has arrived. Yay for work paying for my MSDN license so that I can get almost all of my windows software free.

I dont have access to compatability mode on starter ed.
i cant change my walpaper on starter ed (now that is the thing that makes me the most annoyed)
I cant really personalise anything, i can however load games play them and uninstall them.
and listen to music and i just got the video to work too so that i can watch dvd's... but its still very impersonal.

I love the search bar integrated in the start pearl. now that is finally a windows search bar that works and it works fast and well :)
