Personal Autonomy
« on: March 06, 2011, 09:36:49 pm »
To announce our new radical view on personal autonomy, I decided (without consulting anyone...as that's what autonomy is about) that anyone who wants a board should ask for one. As long as you can populate it with something people want to wade through.

I agree with this. There are currently a few boards which in essence could be shut down.. :|

I like the Idea. What are we going to do about the members who last posted in 1652 ?

i think we should remove them too. they are just names on a wall and unfortunatly are not contributing in any way. its like a weed, its useless and has to be removed because it doesnt help the other plants at all

Good idea on the whole.

But if there is a board that hasn't been posted on for months but has much valuable info, should it not be left up? Or put into an archive board?

Just so that people can still access the info.

one of us with much time on our hands can actually take that info and put it in pdf format and put it in archive. I think thats a great idea.

Who has time to do that for us? (need volunteer/s)

I don't really have the time. But can try help in small quantities. Although I don't have software to save to pdf.

If someone tells me which topics to put into .pdf, I can do it, and how it should look: must the document include who wrote what etc??. And where will the documents be sent to?

I don't mind doing it.  :3':

There just has to be some sort of admin involved with this sort of thing, otherwise things can very quickly go kaka...  :0:

I agree with the 3 months thing..

i think we should include who said what but no prifile pictures and such, just name and date of post, and i also think any off topic posts within thE topics we want to archive should also be removed if possible.

We just need it in pdf format so that we can upload it to the archive section of the site.

Cool. I can do that, but like I said: let me know exactly what thread, which forum etc and give me a couple of days to do it in. :D

i dont think there will be a rush lol.
As soon as we have figured out wich of the old threads are no longer being used and which of the posts within are important or informative enough to keep then i think we will put up a list and let you know.
