My sister works with a girl who has been told she needs to have a bone marrow transplant by 15 November 2009 if she is going to survive.
The girl, Adele, is looking for donations or even just prayers.
With 6 days left and nowhere close to the R70 000 she requires, she is desperate. My sister and I have e-mailed some South African radio stations. Possibly we will find help there, so even sending energy to get that help, will be appreciated.
Here is her story and I'm attaching a picture of her, her banking details and a letter from her doctor:
Hi, my name is Adele Kriel, I’m 20 years old and live in Cape Town, South Africa. I was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 16.
My treatment started with a chemo pill which I used for 4 years. The doctor realised these pills weren’t working and tried another chemo pill, which was my last option, but with no success. This week I received the devastating news that I need to undergo a bone marrow transplant. This is the only treatment that will hopefully give me a second chance in life.
I don’t have a Medical Aid and I need to raise R70 000 by the 15 November 2009.
My plea to you is to donate any amount you can afford as I am in a desperate situation and this would help me with a second lease on life.
The banking details are as follows : ABSA
Account nr : 9235215578
Type : Money Builder 08
Name : D Kriel
Branch code : 632005
My sincere thanks to you.
Adele
