Unless all seven points are proven, permission to `protect' will not be given.

I think thats an excellent rule, considering how drastic the 'protection' is

I agree with you there Satyr.
Sometimes you have to destroy your life to let the next great thing happen.

It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society

this is such an interesting discussion...

Peter, you say that potential warlocks are found at very early ages.

How early?? and how would one decide whether they would be suitable warlock material..are there definite criteria and/or tests which the candidate must meet?

I am thinking that in hereditary witchcraft, the craft is passed down from generation to generation, but I don't think that all parts of the lineage would be equally good witches seeing as personality and selfdiscipline have a role to play..
Much the same with most "life" things...kind of like just because you study to become a doctor, it does not mean you will be a good one...

Sorry for my tardiness in replying. I could blame the Tax filing season, Telkom....hay whatever.

Ameniatha, what you have compared with your example of the `doctor' is a good one. Most `potential' Warlock material does not meet the required standard at the end of the day. South Africa has the greatest potential at the moment. To tell the truth, of the 25 Warlocks in the world, 18 are in SA. The physical ability to survive in adverse conditions, coupled to the ability to learn at a very quick rate are indications of potential `material'.
What age? No particular age, but usually around 8 to 10 years.
Tests? The usual. IQ above 140 - fit, with reserve stamina. Respect for authority without the inclination to obey without question. The usual `drop-outs' of society.

In our modern `follow the leader' society, any person that dares to think for themselves could be described as a `drop-out'. We sure don't fit in with the rest of the Herd.

Well, think about it. We have `dropped out' from `normal' society. They dogmatically follow and do exactly what is expected from them on a religious level. We have broken away (dropped out) and prefer to explore independently.

Ironically, it is WE, not THEY, that are actually doing what THEIR bible instructs them to do. "Investigate everything."
